Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the name given to a group of eye conditions that affect vision. The risk of developing glaucoma increases as you get older, and so it is important that you have your eyes tested regularly.

Glaucoma often affects both eyes, usually in varying degrees. One eye may develop glaucoma quicker than the other. If glaucoma is left untreated it can cause blindness.

Symptoms of glaucoma include:
Intense pain and headache
Redness of the eye
Sore, tender eye area
Seeing halos, or 'rainbowlike rings' around lights
Misty vision

Glaucoma is easily treatable, and does not normally lead to further complications.

However, if you have any questions, talk to your pharmacist or doctor for more details.
