Heat Rash


This often occurs in babies, but it is not uncommon in adults. The rash is the result of the blockage of sweat pores by clothing. It often occurs in babies when the baby is wrapped to warmly on hot days.

The symptoms of heat rash include:
Small pimples around affected area
Pain
Swelling, redness and warmth
Fever

Heat rash usually does not require medical intervention, and will heal on its own. Some homecare tips include:
Wear loose clothing
Cool the affected areas with a cold wash cloth, or a cool bath
Avoid ointments and creams
Keep the skin cool and dry
